CHALLENGES OF CURRICULUM IN THE FIELD RELATED TO HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN BACHELOR’S DEGREE FROM POINT OF VIEW RELATED TO PROFESSORS OF QUALITATIVE STUDY

ABSTRACT
Introduction: According to development of international competitions in educational fields, universities should proceed to internal and external evaluations of educational condition and present suitable solutions for raising quality of education in any changes or reviews. The purpose of this study is to detect existed problems in curriculum related to healthcare management services from point of view related to professors. Methodology: This qualitative study was done by participation of 7 professors in healthcare management services on 2016. People were chosen targeted and numbers of interviews have been lasted until saturation (repletion) of data. Individual interviews were collected in semi-structures way. All interviews have been recorded and then rewritten on the paper and reviewed. Data were analyzed by analyzing the contents and by hand. Findings: After analysis of results from views of professors, 4 main pillars, problems (weak points), 14 subsidiary pillars, topics of courses, obstacles in lack of change related to topics of the courses, 6 subsidiary pillars, educational needs related to healthcare management services, 13 subsidiary pillars, educational ways of professors and 10 subsidiary pillars were detected. It seems that topics of lessons (courses) and aims of curriculum didn’t have necessary coordination and participants believe that curriculum of this field in bachelor’s degree has critical infrastructure problems and limitations and also these needs should be again reviewed and we should proceed more to these courses or resources. Conclusions: By using results of this study, decision-makers, programmers and instructors can proceed to review and codification of a curriculum according to needs of healthcare system and business for students and graduated to achieve required competences and skills in directing healthcare units.
