Abstract

ASSESMENT OF CLINICAL FEATURES PRESENT IN THE PATIENTS OF VATAJA PRATISYAYA: RANDAMISED OBSERVATIONAL STUDY

ABSTRACT

Vataja Pratishyaya is one of the most commonly occurring nasal disease in practice. It is most commonly occurring type among five types of Pratishyaya. Before planning the treatment it is very necessary to understand the involvement of causes and process of pathogenesis, dosa involvement because, the presentation of a disease is vary in each individual depends upon various factors i.e. stage of the disease, dosa dusya sammurchana, vyadhi kshamata of the patient etc. In acute stage of the disease, it may start with few symptoms and it fully expressed in later stages. The aim of the study is to determine the Vataja patisyaya clinical features presentation in patients. Non experimental, observational research design was used for this study. The sample was selected by Non probability convenience sampling technique. The demographic variables were Age, Sex, Religion, Occupation etc.. Structured knowledge questionnaire was used to collect the data from samples. All 30 patients are having nasavarodha, and 16 (53.33%) patients are having 6 features out of 7 cardinal features of Vataja Pratishyaya.
