VANDHYATVA (INFERTILITY) – A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT
Failure to achieve conception by apparently healthy couple of reproductive age with normal marital relations continuously for one year or more is considered as vandhyatva or infertility. However now the female incapable of carrying a pregnancy to term is also accepted under infertility. In a country like India where population is a burning problem yet the infertility is much more serious problem and may become the basis of marital disharmony. Now a days this problem is increasing because of delay marriage in a carrier oriented society, stressful life and many other factors. There may be female factor or male factor or both in combined responsible for infertility. Sometimes there is no reason and no cause was detected for the infertility and patient fails to get pregnant. In the present article, a patient is suffering from same and treated successfully through herbal medicine, is discussed.
