ABSTRACT
Asthma is a condition in which a person’s airways become inflamed, narrow and swell, and produce extra mucus. The main aim of the present study was to study the impact of pharmacist assisted asthma management using asthma control test. A total of 263 patients were enrolled in the study. Socio-demographic details were obtained by using a self administered questionnaire. The questionnaire also includes the medical history, family history of asthma, social status, current medication chart and asthma control test questions and scoring methods. In this study on asthma the highest numbers of people were from the age group of 32-41years (28%). Female patients were higher in number. Almost 12% had family history with their parents suffering from Asthma. In 58.5% of people, the disease was diagnosed before 2 years from the study period.
