ABSTRACT
The main aim and objective of my present research work was the determination of total poly phenols, flavonoids and evaluation of in vitro antioxidant and anti inflammatory activities of various extracts of leaves of Artemisia vulgaris. The total phenols and flavonoids were analyzed by using gallic acid, rutin as a standard and in vitro antioxidant, anti inflammatory activity were carried out by DPPH, TAC and protein denaturation, HRBC Membrane stabilization methods using ascorbic acid, diclofenac sodium as a standard. The percentage inhibition and stabilization values for anti inflammatory and scavenging values for antioxidant were obtained and tabulated. The present experimental data clearly displayed that the methanolic extract of Artemisia vulgaris leaves of exhibited potential antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
