OBTURATOR DISLOCATION OF THE HIP AFTER A FALL FROM A HORSE: A RARE ENTITY WITH AN UNUSUAL MECHANISM- A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT
Obturator type traumatic anterior hip dislocation in adult is rare of all types of hip dislocation. It can occur as a result of a high-energy trauma, il must be reduced immediatly. A delay in relocation of more than 6 hours has been associated with a high risk of avascular necrosis of the femoral head. We describe a case of traumatic obturator hip dislocation in 21 years old male practicing horseriding. Closed reduction was done under general anesthesia.
