ROLE OF KSHARSUTRA VARTI PRANIDHAN KARMA IN DANTANADI (PERIAPICAL ABCESS)- A SINGLE CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT
Acharya Sushruta described MUKHA ROGA in Nidana Sthana and classified it in different manners as per location, prognosis, and surgical methods. Acharya sushruta mentioned Sapta Ayatana of Mukha as Oshtha, Danta, Dantamoola, Jihva, Talu, Kantha, Sarvasara. Dantanadi is one of the Dantamoolagata Mukharoga. As per acharya, Dantanadi produced due to avoid treatment of Sadhya Pakva Shopha which leads into suppuration and this suppuration goes deeper in site and produce Nadivrana. According to Ayurveda classics treatment of Dantanadi include :1) Upnaha Swedana (hot application), 2) Nadividarana(incision of sinus),3) Puyanirharana (Drainage of abcess), 4) Prakshalan(curettage),Pratisarana, 5) Nadivrana chikitsa, 6) Danta nirharana, 7) Kshara or Agnikarma. In present case study Nadivranavata Chikitsa has been consider in treating Dantanadi for that ksharsutra varti pranidhan karma has been carried out which gives good effect in Dantanadi.
