Abstract

THE EVALUATION OF ESTROGEN AND PROGESTERONE HORMONES LEVELS IN PRE AND POSTMENOPAUSAL BREAST CANCER WOMEN

ABSTRACT

The level of Estrogen hormone was decreased significantly in total breast cancer patients, premenopausal and postmenopausal compare with control, while the level of Progesterone hormone increased significantly in breast cancer patients of all stages compare to control group. Serum samples were collected from 140 women were ,50 of these women were control and 90 women were breast cancer patients attending to cancer center in Erbil city from Jaunary 2017 to Augest 2017.Study populations classified into three groups which age ranged from (29-65) years, total subjects, pre and postmenopausal women. The results of estrogen hormone (E.H) were showed a highly significant decrease (P?0.01) in total and (pre and postmenopausal) breast cancer patients compare with healthy control. While the results of P.H were showed a highly significant increase (P?0.01) in total breast cancer patients compare with healthy control and the results showed that there was no significant difference (P?0.05) in Premenopausal and Postmenopausal of breast cancer women compare with control.
