ABSTRACT
The placenta accreta/percreta remains a rare disease, growing steadily, it is linked to increased maternal age and caesarean rates and associated with significant morbidity and mortality due to postpartum haemorrhage. This is a prospective study spread over a period of 1 years from 237 to 2321 at the Obstetric Gynecology and M1 Endosco-py Department at the Souissi Maternity Hospital in Rabat where we identified 3 cases of placenta percreta. The aim of this study is the analysis of the epidemiological profile of our patients, diagnostic circumstances, interest para-clinical explorations in prenatal diagnosis, assessment of the evolving profile and especially appreciate the quality of care at the Maternity CHU Rabat. The placenta percreta is the obstetrician’s ultimate fear, due to its diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties as well as its hemorrhagic complications threatening the maternal and fetal prognosis.
