Abstract

THIAZOLIDIN-4-ONE DERIVATIVES: SYNTHESIS AND IN VITRO ANTIMALARIAL EVALUATION

ABSTRACT

A series of thiazolidin-4-one derivatives (TH1-T9) was synthesized and evaluated for their antimalarial potential. Antimalarial activity was performed against the Plasmodium falciparum. Among the synthesized derivatives, compound 6 was found to be most active against Plasmodium falciparum. All the titled compounds (TH1-T9) were characterized by 1H NMR and IR spectral data.
